Where you manage your subscription depends on where you bought it. Financio shows you which one applies on the Subscription screen.
Finding the Subscription Screen
Go to Settings (gear icon, top right) → Subscription.
On the Home tab, tap the gear icon in the top left, then tap Subscription.
The screen shows your plan, your current status, and your next renewal date, or, if the subscription is set to end, the date access runs out. During a trial it shows the trial end date instead.
If You Subscribed on the Web
Everything is handled in the Stripe billing portal, which you open from Financio:
- Go to Settings → Subscription.
- Under Manage subscription, click Manage subscription.
- The billing portal opens in a new page.
Open Financio in a browser and go to Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription. The billing portal isn't reachable from the iPhone app, because the app only manages App Store subscriptions.
In the portal you can:
- Update your card or switch to a different payment method
- Download invoices and receipts for every payment
- Update your billing address
- Cancel your subscription
Changes take effect immediately, and the Subscription screen in Financio catches up as soon as the portal tells us.
If You Subscribed on iPhone
App Store subscriptions can only be changed through Apple. Financio can show you the status, but it can't change the subscription, and neither can our support team.
From Financio: Settings → Subscription → Manage / Cancel Subscription opens Apple's subscription sheet directly.
You can also get there through iOS: open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Financio.
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Financio. You can also open the Financio app and use Settings → Subscription → Manage / Cancel Subscription, or manage it in a browser at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
There you can change your Apple ID payment method, turn off auto-renew, or resubscribe. Receipts for App Store purchases come from Apple by email and appear in your Apple purchase history, not in Financio.
Switching From One to the Other
There's no switch button, and you don't need one:
- App Store → web: cancel the App Store subscription in Apple ID settings, wait for it to expire, then subscribe on the web.
- Web → App Store: just subscribe in the iPhone app. We stop the web subscription renewing automatically, so you won't be billed twice, and you keep the time already paid for.
What Household Members See
Members and Read Only users can open the Subscription screen and see the household's status, but not change it, the screen tells them only the owner can. Nobody but the owner is ever charged.
