Every new Financio household gets a 14-day free trial. It starts when you finish registering, needs no card, and includes every feature: it's the full app, not a limited version.
What's Included
Everything. During the trial you can add accounts, import transactions, build budgets and goals, run reports and use AI insights exactly as a subscriber would. Nothing you set up during the trial is lost when you subscribe.
Checking How Long Is Left
Go to Settings (gear icon, top right) → Subscription. While you're on the trial, the page shows a Trial ends date.
On the Home tab, tap the gear icon in the top left, then tap Subscription. While you're on the trial, the screen shows a Trial ends date.
Reminders You'll Get
We email the household owner twice:
- Three days before the trial ends, as a heads-up.
- When the trial ends, to say access is now limited.
Both emails go to the owner's registered address. Other household members aren't emailed, since they can't subscribe on the household's behalf.
What Happens When It Ends
Your trial doesn't roll into a paid subscription automatically: we never took a card, so nothing is charged. Instead, the household's access is limited until someone subscribes.
Your data is not deleted. Every account, transaction, budget and goal stays exactly as you left it, and comes straight back the moment you subscribe.
What you can still do once the trial has ended:
- Sign in
- View and manage your subscription, and subscribe
- Delete your account
What you can't do until you subscribe:
- Open your accounts, transactions, budgets, goals or reports
- Import or add anything new
- Export your data
Export Before Your Trial Ends
Data export is not available once a trial or subscription has expired, the export screens are behind the same lock as the rest of the app. If you're weighing up whether to subscribe and want a copy of your data either way, export it before your trial runs out. If you've already lapsed and need your data, contact support and we'll help.
Subscribing Before Or After It Ends
You can subscribe at any point: during the trial, on the last day, or months later. Subscribing part-way through the trial starts your paid month immediately; it doesn't wait for the trial to run out, so if you're happy to keep the free days, subscribe near the end.
